How to Keep Score for Volleyball

The game of volleyball is an exciting sport due to the constant action. One source of action is the immediate possession of the ball by whichever side wins the rally. The Rally Point System states that the team that wins the rally scores a point, regardless of whether it is the receiving or the serving team. This makes for a fast-paced game that is fun to watch, and score.
First: How the rally and point systems work
When the opposing team commits a fault, the other team wins a rally. The team is awarded one point if the receiving team lets the ball touch the ground within its portion of the playing court. This is also achieved if the ball is hit out-of-bounds or if the ball is hit more than three times without sending it over the net by either team. The serve is awarded to the receiving team if the serving team commits a fault. Points are not awarded for faults.
Second: How to win the game
The first team to reach 15 points wins the game or, if neither team has achieved 15 points, the team who has the highest score prior to the game clock running out is the winner of the game. The game clock is set for 9 minutes of play and if the game is tied when the clock runs out, a sudden-death match is played. Whichever team scores a point first during the sudden-death match wins the game. There are no ties in a volleyball game.
